Max and Sandy Lowery

Max

Max was a big old scruffy dog who was independent, strong and proud even though he was very old in terms of years (just how old no one could say for sure) - but never in spirit. He passed away last year at the home of his forever mom with all his canine family by his side. He was a huge black, curly furry fellow, with the features of an Airedale and a unique and charming personality, who never backed down from younger dogs who thought they might challenge him. He was surprisingly agile - and curious, funny, and quirky. Max was loved very dearly by his mom and is remembered fondly and often. Sandy was Max’s kennel mate and buddy at CSC for a very long time until they were finally adopted together (mainly thanks to Kerri’s urging). Sandy was a small, gentle, pretty red female hound. She was always a graceful, gracious good girl who never caused a moment’s trouble for her forever mom. She was a quiet stately dog with soft brown eyes who was well loved in the last 2 years of her long life. Sandy passed away last month and is now with her friend Max to keep her company - with no pain or disease to slow either one of them down one single bit.
