Molly
Loved by her family and all who knew her

I am not sure how many of you knew Molly the extra toe kitty. Shannon picked her up from HS and I talked my neighbor into "fostering" her, since there was ringworm at the Catty Shack. I emailed her after one week to make arrangements to find another foster or take her myself, Jane emailed back that she said she wanted to stay another week, this was two years ago.

Molly was an amazing kitty. She would not use her litter box if she had an option, she would hold it till she went out, never made a mess in the house and would only use the box if rain messed with her agenda. Dave and Jane travel a lot, so I watched her most weekends and sometimes a week at a time. She would go out at 7:00 a.m. then, depending on the weather, when we felt it was time for her to come in, all we had to do is go out and call "Molly, Molly, Molly!" and she would come running.

Jane has a friend who works with the HS in K.C., who came to meet Molly while they were fostering, she knew when she met her she was in her forever home. The entire culdesac was her home, she was allowed in
everyone's house, except mine, cause she didn't like that I had other cats. One morning a neighbor was putting out his recycling and left his door open, she ran in and got in bed with his wife and scared her silly. She did not meet a stranger. We all knew we wouldn't have her as long as most kitties, but she truly had to be an outside cat. Jane and I found a couple of claw spots on some furniture and thought we disguised it good. Their house is very tidy and beautiful.

We lost her to a hit and run last Wednesday. Most of the culdesac came to her burial. Dave, Jane and I were a mess and we all still miss her everyday. She had it good while she was here. After we buried her Dave
told me, through his tears, he had never had a better cat and probably never would and said "why do think I never said anything about the furniture?" ......so we didn't hide it so good.

The friend from K.C. has sent a donation to you guys in Molly's name, I will bring it in to the store Monday, as I am off this weekend. It took me a while to be able to write this and find I am still crying while doing it, but wanted to let you know how great she was and how much she was loved.
