Success Story!

Buddy is warming up and making herself at home.
Hello Lisa, Shannon and everyone
at CSC,
I am writing to update you on Dominique (or Buddy, which is my name for her).
She is doing very well at my house. For the first four or five weeks, she was
very timid and spent most of her time hiding behind the washing machine. Then,
one day a couple weeks ago, she decided that she wanted to be friends. She came
out, meowed at me, nuzzled my hand, and let me pet her. It's like she suddenly
remembered who I was (remember that I was feeding her for a couple of years
while she lived at Domino's, and she was very affectionate to me then).
Ever since she has been my shadow. She follows me around the apartment, especially
at night, and likes to meow at me. She is very affectionate and loves to be
petted, often demanding my attention. She purrs when I pet her, licks and grooms
my hands, and rolls over to show me her belly. She also likes to play with one
of the catnip mice that I bought her. I can still tell that she was feral --
she can be a little skittish, doesn't like sudden movements, and hides from
visitors. However, I think her progress is remarkable, and I am glad that she
is back to being the sweet, affectionate cat that I know. Also, her litter box
habits are great -- thank you for training her so well.
I hope that all is well at CSC. I just wanted to write and update you on my
kitty's progress -- she has been doing very well, I think. I hope that people
considering adopting a semi-feral cat will know that it can turn out well. I
love my cat and am glad I was finally able to give her a home. Attached you
will find a picture of her, showing me her belly and being cute.
thank you,
Mandy Giovanoni and Buddy
