Buster, newest member of the Meyer family

Dear Columbia Second Chance,

I am writing not only to donate to your new shelter fundraiser, but also to keep you up-to-date on our wonderful son, Buster. In case you don't remember, we adopted Buster in May of 2002, and he's been keeping us on our toes ever since.

Buster celebrated his first birthday this spring with a birthday party alongside his sister, Bailey. She was born in February, he was born in March. They had a rawhide birthday cake and many toys. I don't think he quite understood the concept of it all, but he still had fun.

Buster has many favorite activities to keep him occupied. He loves the outdoors, so my husband built him a large outdoor running pen where he can run around and still be safe. This summer, I got him a kiddie pool, which he adores. He spent many hours swimming and splashing in his pool. He also went into the people pool on numerous occasions and soaked us all. He loves the water. He also loves to play ball, wrestle with Bailey, lie on his back with everything up in the air, lay in my lap to get a pet, and chase bugs and birds.

Thank you for bringing him into our lives. We love him so much.
