Success Story!

Baby, newest member of the Eustace family

To all of the wonderful volunteers and workers at 2nd chance,

My name is Amanda. I adopted Baby on Saturday.. I adopted a VERY SPECIAL animal. I am a diabetic. I am also 7 1/2 months pregnant. My blood sugar tends to drop during the night. Leaving me feeling like I haven't got any energy to move. Last night Baby and I settled down to go to sleep. I fell asleep around 11pm. At 2:30 I woke up to baby pawing at my arm and acting really funny. I tried to calm her down but she was very upset about something and wanted me to know. When I went to stand up I fell back into the bed. I checked my blood sugar. It was 23. (normal is between 80-120) I know that Baby knew that something was wrong and woke me up. I have heard of this before but never believed it. You guys have given me the most wonderful gift in the world. She is the most wonderful companion. I have only had her a short time but we have bonded in almost a telepathic way . She watches every move I make. She also won't let me out of her sight. If I sit down somewhere she sits and waits patiently at my feet. If she needs outside she comes to my feet, sits and gives me a bark. When I'm sleeping/napping she checks on me at least twice, then she returns to the foot of the bed. If she thinks someone or something is too close to me, she puts herself between them and myself. She also is getting along VERY VERY well with the cats. She also has a new "best friend". His name is chadwell and he belongs to my mother. He is about 1/16 of her size but they love to play tag in the front yard. I originally got her for my husband, but ...........this may be a problem since she has become my shadow. I cant thank you all enough for what you have given me. You guys are a true blessing. I only wish I would of known about you guys sooner. I will send some pictures of her in her new Forever Home, Believe me..........She is here to stay!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks a million,
Amanda Eustace
P.S. She also LOVES going to the groomers!!!!
