Success Story!

Bentley, newest member of the Salazar family

He is doing great!

We had a doggie bed waiting for him at home and he went right to it. He seems to love it and lays on it all the time. We move it to whatever room we are in.

Gail was concerned since Bentley has been outside for a while that we may need to keep him in a kennel or small room when we are gone during the day to refresh his memory for house training. We have never had to do this.

He roams the house when we are gone and has never had an accident. He doesn't seem to eat or drink very much. We have the senior science diet food, but he eats very little.

Gail also thought he would have no trouble with our stairs, but he would not go up or down them for the first couple of weeks, but one day he got brave and now he does pretty well. We are going to take him to the vet to get that hip dysphasia medicine Gail told me about.

I took some photos of him and I was going to e-mail them, but I wanted totake some of him in our back yard, but I haven't taken any yet, so I'll send you the ones I took inside.

Overall he seems to be doing well and enjoys being inside. He seems very happy.
