Success Story!

JD

"Whit and I apologize for taking so long to update you all on JD (formerly known as Lou).

The entire car ride back to St.Louis he was very mellow and chill. He just sat in the back seat looking out the window. Once he got to his new home we let him investigate his new surroundings. We were brave and even took him to the pet store.....he loved the bird cages! At the store we bought all the supplies and toys he needed. The first toy didn't make it, he had the stuffing out within the hour.

Overall, JD adjusted quickly to his new home. Knowing that he was/is an escape artist we kept a close watch on him! He's only gotten out once and he didn't even have to jump the fence (never done it yet!). Apparently, one of the neighborhood kids had been in the yard and left the gate open. Luckily, the day before we had a new ID tag made for him. He was only missing for 4 hours before someone called us.

After his attempt at "running" away he was a changed dog. He went from Mr. Independent to best friend/shadow. From the moment we get home or wake up, he follows us around and has to be in the same room. Of course he is always up for a walk or play time. He's still a very mellow, happy, and active dog. He's enjoyed the snow storms...he catches the snow balls in his mouth! Unfortunately, I can't find the pictures but when I do we will send them.

Even after his attempted escape and one chocolate birthday cake mishap (long story), we couldn't of asked for a better dog!"
