Larry, Pierre & Sagan

"Has it only been a month? It seems like Pierre (Penn), Larry (Teller) and Spiderman (Sagan) have been with me longer than that. And I mean that in the best possible way.

All three cats are doing splendidly. They had their initial vet visit a couple weeks ago, and everything was good except for Sagan's gingivitis, which is being taken care of. They're all healthy, happy, energetic and, best of all, act like they're pleased to see me when I'm around. They certainly have me very well trained: fresh water in the fountain morning and night, litter boxes cleaned twice a day, at least one round of "chase the cat toys" every night, and all three join me in bed each night. Penn (who's on my lap as I write this) absolutely loves to be brushed, Sagan likes it as long as he can lick my other hand while I'm brushing him, and Teller tolerates it for very short periods but lets me finger-groom him a lot (while lying on his back and curling his paws in the air and purring raucously). The three of them get along so well -- they wrestle with each other, but it never gets out of hand. The sound of them galloping from room to room makes me laugh every time.

In other words, everything's great. I'm so pleased to have them to come home to every day, and just a little sad to leave them when I head to work in the morning. I know they do a great job of entertaining each other when I'm gone, however, because every day when I return, my area rugs are rearranged. There's some serious carpet-surfing going on in my house. :-)"
